Janet Walter

Janet Walter is the founder of Pregnant in West London (registered charity no. 1189389). She set up the charity after discovering how very little was known about pregnancy and birth among new mothers. Janet trained as a birth doula on the Paramana Doula course with Dr. Michel Odent and Lilliana Lammers. She has also trained as a breast-feeding counsellor with La Leche League. Janet has run Montessori Nursery schools, nannied and run very successful arts-based holiday clubs. She continues to enjoy teaching yoga to children and older people and supporting new parents.

Molly O'Brien

Molly has been a midwife for almost 20 years. She recently retired from full-time midwifery to focus on giving expectant parents access to the best available evidence, birth preparation and post-natal classes. She also shares her expertise and experience with student midwives in her work as an associate lecturer at the UEA and other universities. Molly now runs workshops on Zoom to midwives all over the world. Her passion is biomechanics for birth and she continues to expand her knowledge on this.

Claudia Goulder

Claudia Goulder is a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, trained at the Tavistock Clinic in London, and a full member of the Association of Child Psychotherapists. She has worked in a number of inpatient and outpatient child and adolescent mental health services within the NHS as well as family and specialist under-5s services. Claudia also worked as a parent–infant therapist within the Perinatal Mental Health Team at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, helping parents deal with issues such as loss, trauma, depression and acute anxiety. Alongside her private work, she currently teaches on the Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology MSc course at the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families and UCL.

Heather MacDonald

Heather MacDonald is a Physician Associate (PA), trained in the USA, who recently moved to the UK with her dual US/UK citizenship. She graduated with an MSc in PA Studies in 2008 and since has worked in Florida, New York City and currently London. Her primary work experience is in general paediatrics, with a passion and expertise in mother/newborn and infant care. She has also worked in General Outpatient Paediatrics (clinic), Paediatric Surgery and the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. Heather is very enthusiastic about teaching and has taught breastfeeding with lactation consultants in the hospital setting as well as Baby and Child CPR classes for families and caretakers.

Jackie Lynch is a Registered Nutritional Therapist and founder of the WellWellWell nutrition clinic in Notting Hill where she specialises in women’s health. Her books include: The Right Bite: Smart Food Choices for Eating on the GoVa Va Voom: The 10-Day Energy Diet; and The Happy Menopause: Smart Nutrition to Help You Flourish (June 2020). She is also the host of the Happy Menopause podcast and Chair of the Institute for Optimum Nutrition, the renowned training provider for nutritional therapy in the UK.
